From day one, Cleverly Planned was set up to be securely operational from anywhere at any time, so there will be absolutely no reduction in service if we are unable to attend our office or see you in person. We will remain (virtually) by your side. We’ve been in regular contact with our clients to be a sounding board for any concerns or disruption in their lives throughout the pandemic and much of our planning conversations culminate in the realisation that our health is the most important thing. Without it, money can be somewhat pointless. However, we understand the emotional aspects of money, the freedom and choices it can give and take away, the panic the financial markets can instil, so it is completely understandable that people may be worried about the security of their financial plans at this difficult time, whilst being concerned for the health of their loved ones. This pandemic has forced us all to confront the vulnerability of the aspects of our life that we cherish. We work with you to make sure you’re in a strong position, regardless of what the future holds, so you have the peace of mind to focus on staying safe and making the most of each day.
How remote financial advice works
For the time being, we are continuing to provide advice remotely. We see this as a way to reduce the risks we are all exposed to in our daily lives and our experience so far has shown that video meetings are just as effective and enjoyable for all parties. For our meetings, we’ve been making use of video conferencing software, where we can see each other as though in person and share your planning forecasts and recommendations on the screen. The meetings are secure, password protected and then locked once all parties are in attendance. It’s quick and easy to get the hang of and clients tell us that after a short while the distance between us is forgotten.

Whilst our meetings encourage you to focus on the good times; how you’d like the future to look and all the wonderful things you’d like to spend your time doing, behind the scenes we use our expertise to limit the damage during times like this. We stress test thoroughly and are always thinking “but what if this happens?” to ensure we create robust strategies that can support the great times while weathering the bad times too.
